Well, I didn't think mankind could sink any lower than Hitler, or John Kerry, but then we have this idiot down in Florida pop up. Yes, I am talking about the Terri Schiavo case. (You knew I couldn't go without at least commenting on it.) I'll give you the basics, we have a man in Florida who wants to kill his wife so he can get his grubby, greedy little fingers on a 1.3 million dollar amount that was meant to take care of his wife (really ex-wife, more on that later). So where is the problem? Open and shut case right? I wish we could be so lucky.

        We have the liberals in our face again, why? One might think that they like the sanctity of human life, that they didn't support discrimination, no matter at what level. But they have once more been proven lying dogs. We have a woman in Florida, who is living without life support, only thing is she is dependent on a feeding tube to provide her with food and water. She is clearly not in a persistent vegetative state (PVS), and responds to her parents and others. Granted this contact is limited, and not on the level of a normal human being, but still, it is contact. I sat in front of the TV for an hour listening to the Congress debate whether they should get involved, and I heard 2 things, the republicans said, this is a living breathing woman that we should help. The democrats, like the communists and socialists they are, said that it was ok to pull the feeding tube out of a helpless woman. A woman who is existing without life support, on her own, with the help of a feeding tube. How many of you have needed help eating before? I'm wagering to say most all of you just said you never had to have help eating. What about when you were 1 year old?  When the help of others was the only way you survived? What if momma would get a big settlement if you died, and she left you there to starve and dehydrate. Wouldn't someone get mad over that? I think they would.

        This is exactly what her "husband" wants, who really cannot legally be considered her husband I think. His girlfriend and him are husband and wife under common law, and since bigamy is against the law, that means that he cannot be her husband. I could be mistaken, but I wouldn't consider him her husband anyway. With his other woman he has 2 children, one is seven or eight years old, the other is one to two. If Terri Shiavo dies, he gets the remainder of 1.3 million dollars that was meant for her recovery. Some of you probably think she can't recover, but doesn't she deserve a chance to try? Doesn't she deserve the chance to recover? A chance she hasn't gotten since she became this way? Her husband basically put her in hospice after the accident. Never once did he attempt the get her back, nor does he care. That my friends is why congress must step in. 

        Now I will get flack for saying that the government can interfere in our personal life. I didn't say that. The law they are passing does not say that, it says that cases like Schiavo's will be looked over by a federal judge, and then he will decide what to do. I agree with this, Shiavo has no living will that we know of, and therefore shouldn't have the tube removed. There was no Do Not Resuscitate order, and she's not dead so a DNR wouldn't work anyway. Her family has offered to take over the cost of payment to keep her alive, which should have made him happy, but he wouldn't get the 1.3 million that way. Would you push this hard to kill someone whom you didn't love anymore? Who hasn't had an impact on your life in, what, 15 years is it? I think we should try the dude for attempted murder. But then we'd really hear it from the liberals. This law will hopefully keep things like this from happening in the future, and I hope that you want this girl to live as much as I do.
