I found a quote today. One that essentially ticked me off to no extent. It was made by the ex-FDA Commissioner, David Kessler. The quote is as follows," To argue that people ought to be able to choose their own risks, is to impose an unrealistic burden on the people". Read that a few times, got it? Good. This is what the communist was really saying was, "The government knows what's best for you. Your to much of an idiot to know what to do". If you don't believe me you apparently didn't read the quote correctly. Look at it. Lets apply this to a lot of people who read my rant. You smoke? You drink? A few of you probably do. I can't imagine my site being read by everyone but those who smoke and drink. The government might consider that a "risk" to your health. Now if you do either of these, you probably are to big of an idiot to realize what is good for you. But would you rather make that decision yourself, or would you rather let the government do it for you? You walk in the store to buy your daily dose of death, you give them your social security number, they say that you have reached your limit set by the FDA, or whatever bureau would be in charge of that. Or maybe even they say that the government says you can't have any! How would you like that? Not very much I'd wager. So the government takes away your ability to choose whether you smoke or drink. Some people who don't think would probably like that. As you saw in earlier sentences I'm against drinking and smoking, but it is your choice and I won't say you don't have the right to so. I'm glad you do have the right to do so, that is part of what makes America great is that we have the ability to do what we want, when we want. Now for the imbeciles who thought that it would be good for the government to regulate things like that. The government's first step would be doing something like that, taking away something proven harmful, then they would take a larger step. How bout your daily calorie intake? How much longer would it be until they started telling you how much to eat, if you can buy a car, or even if you can procreate. *For those of you who educated in government high schools that means have babies* It wouldn't be to long. That's why we have stories on the news like Martha Stewart getting out of prison. How many of you were affected today by the news of Martha's release? I wasn't. In fact I couldn't have cared less. But so many Americans were watching the news with anticipation and excitement today. They saw Martha board her private jet, they saw her in her house, they saw her around her home in New York. All for what purpose? Did anyone's life significantly change after she was released? No. The entire thing was an excuse for the media to forget the issues that we the people need to know for a few hours. Such as Legislation HR-28, "The Fair Tax Plan". So we can ignore quotes from liberal socialists who would love to see this republic collapse. No media bias? If that's what you think, you're a fool. |
