Well I promised you my own review and here it is. Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, is awesome. That’s it. Everything else was covered in Kevin Smith’s review. So what instead shall I talk about today? How about the fact that we get days off work and school for Martin Luthor King Day and not Veterans or Presidents day.
Just for those of you who will think I am racist for this post, I’m not.
I have no beef with celebrating a holiday that was made for a black man. He was
a great civil rights leader and I’m glad for people such as him. However, who
was more important? MLK, or the first President or our country, George
Washington? MLK, or the man who freed his race in the first place, Abraham
Lincoln? MLK, or the men and women who died and are still dieing to keep the
country that they live in free? I have
more respect for
“But he did so much more than that” some will say. Prove it. He was shot
before any reforms happened. His death just made him a martyr for the cause.
What about Last but most definitely not least, our veterans; the people who risked life and limb to keep America the society it is today, one where liberals can tell conservatives how wrong they are and that all conservative liberties need to be stripped; and where most conservatives just sit down and calmly take the liberal pressure, knowing full well the fools that the liberals make out of themselves. The society where I can have a webpage that states my views and makes fun of yours, and not be in violation of law for making fun of the government or offending someone-although laws for that are on the way.
Why don’t we have a day that celebrates our veterans and more important people
than MLK? I don’t know. Run for public office and make it so we do.
