Earth Day. Can anyone tell me when it is off the top of your head? The majority of you hopefully don't know this holiday exists. For future uselessness, it was this past Friday, April 22. How many of you observed this holiday? Did you get off work for it? Did school let out? No. So why do we consider this, or even Valentines day for that matter, a holiday? Because we have to let the environmentalists bombard us with earth saving messages once a year.

        I didn't even know it was Earth Day until yesterday. That's when I realized what an idiotic holiday it is if it can pass and no one even notices. So I looked up "earth day" on yahoo just to see what the stupid holiday was. The best I could get would be -because I couldn't find what it was exactly- a holiday to be environmentally friendly and earth minded. 

        Were you affected by the passage of Earth Day? Did you not drive your car? Did you not eat meat? No doubt some idiots did. In fact I know they did, such as the nature lovers that didn't use man made energy on ED. What about the people that have to get to work fools? As much as we hate the rising price of gas, we still have to go places. You just asked people to not go to work for a holiday that is worthless. 

        I saw one site that offered a virtual tour of the Alaskan Wildlife Refuge. I did not take a look at it as my connection speed at home sucks, but I can tell you for certain what it was. It showed you the lush green period of its life. It showed virtual caribou, virtual trees, virtual Alaskan stuff. What is the AWR most of the time? A snow covered wasteland that no one cares about. Why not drill this wasteland for the natural resources that are under it? Oh no! the environmentalists will be mad! For shame! Tell ya what. I will personally go and kill off all the caribou and eat them, hence taking away one more reason the environmentalists have not to drill. Then we move to polar bears, seals, and whatever else is up there. Not only could we cure the world hunger that way, but we could get cheaper oil! Its a win win situation!

        Did you do something nice for ED? Did you plant a tree? Did you eat organically foods? Or were you like me and just didn't know ED existed until the day after?
